Hollywood actress and fashion model Andie MacDowell made her film debut in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes in 1984. She was credited with the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead in the critically acclaimed film Sex, Lies, and Videotape in 1989, as well as a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in Motion Picture Drama nomination.
